Autographed by the Author.  Heart of the Sky is the result of eight years of searching for evidence of the astronomical practices of the people who lived in Central Arizona over the past two thousand years. Through observation and study, many sites have now been documented to show a sophisticated knowledge of their celestial surroundings. At first the individual sites were viewed in isolation. It gradually became clear, however, that there was a connection between habitation locations, ceremonial settings, agricultural fields and the selection of celestial observation positions. This broader view presents a social landscape.
